Ladies 2008 Results

17 boats took part in the training day on Saturday, all the boats were from the club ranging from an RS400 to Optimists.  The weather gods were not kind but Graham Foster managed a full day's training both on and off the water, despite the lack of wind.

The actual Championship racing was held on Sunday and saw 2 visiting boats arriving making the starting numbers once again 17.  The numbers showing that we may well have the largest number of ladies racing , than any other Scottish club, even with the clash with the Topper traveller at Tarbert taking away several of our lady sailors.

With the wind varying between east and north, and despite having to go to AP on start 2 with just over a minute to the start, 3 races were held.

Going into race 3 Angie Sword (RS200), and Isobel Martin (Laser Radial) were tied with a first and second apiece, Fiona Ferguson (RS400) took the last race boosting her into third place, with Angie being unable to get the better of the Laser Isobel took the overall Championship.
