June 1st Club Races

A warm NE wind from force 2 to 3 gave good racing in the morning. With a long long first beat to E mark which was sitting way off on the North shore and for a change not in a hole for a north wind.

The ISO lead on the water but as with all handicap racing the real result is in the clock! with Brain Finnie (Europe) winning followed by Colin Scott (ISO) and then Neil and Sally Stewart (RS Vision).

For the slow handicap only 3 boats started with many being away at the Brown Cup (Scottish Schools) at Loch Earn. Again the clock told the story with Gavin Logan in the Topper who looked well ahead on the water being comfortably beaten by Jamie Calder (Optimist).

The after noon saw a separate race for those not wanting to go to the island ending with Jamie Calder (Opi), Gavin Logan (topper) then Ian Sword (Optimist) sharing out a special prize from the tuck box!.
