15 – 16th September 2012 Regatta

1. September Regatta will be held under the burgee of Loch Tummel Sailing Club on Saturday & Sunday 15th – 16th

September 2012.

2. Racing will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing, the prescriptions of the RYA, the rules of

each class participating, the Sailing Instructions and this Notice of Race.

3. Entry to September Regatta is open to Optimist and to all members plus visiting sailing dinghies, Flying Fifteens

and Yeoman day boats.

4. Classes will depend upon entries, handicap racing well be held using handicaps listed in the

current YR2, and LTSC club numbers for other boats.


5.1 Registration will be on Saturday 15th September between 0.90 – 10.30am within the main club room.

5.2 Competitor Briefing will be on Saturday 15th September at 11.30am.

5.3 There will be a six race series. If adverse conditions are forecast the number of races may be altered at the

discretion of the OOD. Not more than 4 races are scheduled for either day.

5.4 Race 1 will not start before 1.00pm. on Saturday 15th September 2012.

5.5 The first race of Sunday 16th September 2012 will not start before 10.30am

6. Advertising will be as allowed by the relevant class associations.


7.1 One race is required to be completed to constitute a series.

7.2 When fewer than 4 races have been completed a boats series score will be the total of her race scores.

7.3 When 4 or more races have been completed, a boats series score will be the total of her race scores excluding

her worst score.

7.4 Races will be either level rated or handicap of which may be on the Average Lap Racing basis.

8. The entry fee will be detailed on the entry form. Two man boats will be £20 (helm under 18 £15), Single handers

£15 and Optimist Regatta fleet pay additional £5 to IOCA Scotland

9. Entries will be accepted during the event.

10. Competitors should be aware and accept that relevant personal details will be held as a computer record.

12. Prize giving will be held in the Loch Tummel Sailing Club Rooms as soon as possible after racing ends on Sunday


13. Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third party liability insurance with a minimum cover of

£2,000,000 per event or equivalent.

14. Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. The organizing Authority will not accept any

Liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to during or after

the regatta.

15. Camping will be available within the designated area of Loch Tummel Sailing Club grounds from Friday evening on

14th September 2012.

16. The clubrooms will be open from 8.30am till late, both days serving food and refreshments. Visiting guests and

members wishing the Saturday Evening Meal are requested to confirm on the pre entre form on the web site.
