April 16th 1 Day sprint, RS400 & Lasers

1.  The one day event  will be held under the burgee of Loch Tummel Sailing Club on Saturday Saturday the 16th of April.

2. Racing will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing, the prescriptions of the RYA, the rules of each class participating, the Sailing Instructions and this Notice of Race.

3. Entry to the event is open to all RS400’s and Lasers

4. The clubrooms will be open from 8.30am serving food and refreshments, a break in the racing schedule for lunch is planned.


5.1.Registration will be on Saturday April 16th between 9.00 – 10.15 am within the main club room.

5.2.Competitor Briefing will be on Saturday April 16th at 10.30am outside main club house.

5.3.There will be a  race series of as many races as far as we accommodate with an aim (but not restricted to) of 5. If adverse conditions are forecast the number of races may be altered at the discretion of the PRO.

5.4.Race 1 will not start before 11:30am on Saturday April 16th.

5.5.No signals will be made after 4:30pm.

6. Advertising will be as allowed by the relevant class associations.


7.1.One race is required to be completed to constitute a series.

7.2.When 3 or fewer have been completed a boats series score will be the total of her race scores.

7.3.When 4 or more races have been completed, a boats series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her worst score.

7.4. RS 400’s will be level rated

7.5  Lasers will scored as Laser full rig and Laser radial (fleet and combined results made available)

8. The entry fee will be be 15 UK pounds with an entry form having to be signed on before racing.

9. Entries will be accepted during the event

10. Competitors should be aware and accept that relevant personal details will be held as a computer record.

11. A copy of this NOR, and any updates will be posted on the following website www.lochtummelsc.org.

12. Prize giving will be held in the Loch Tummel Sailing Club Rooms as soon as possible after racing ends on Saturday.

13. Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third party liability insurance with a minimum cover of £2,000,000 per event or equivalent.

14. Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. The organizing Authority will not accept any Liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to during or after the regatta.
